MMHP coordinates a farmworkers’ resource center in the downeast region during the blueberry harvest, providing central access to medical, nursing, and dental services. The resource center also provides farmworkers with access to educational services, social services, a food pantry, and legal aid.
Our mobile unit and outreach workers also travel throughout the harvest camps offering medical care, health education, case management, and transportation. Outreach workers are bilingual and service providers are trained to recognize the linguistic and cultural needs of each migrant community.
